My name is Meisi (like "Macy") and I'm currently based in Los
Angeles. After graduating from UCLA with a Bachelors degree (Cum
Laude) in Electrical Engineering and worked in Silicon Valley for
a couple years, I was drawn to the business side of things and
became a strategy professional for over a decade. I have had
diverse international strategic and management experience in a
variety of industries including management consulting, Nasdaq tech
and fortune 100 companies, most recently being in charge of Ford's
autonomous driving strategy and development in Greater China.
However, all along I have been searching for something
more fulfilling and value-adding to the society. As the pandemic
hit, that urge became even stronger. Given personal circumstances
at the time, I started exploring different fields, and I was very
happy to discover that developing web apps that solve real-life
problems is very enjoyable and meaningful.
I am
currently working as a full-stack web developer in Los Angeles. If

A news search engine that allows users to quickly search for
any news and preview highlights of the chosen news piece. Upon
previewing, user may go to the source of the chosen news piece
if needed. The app is designed and built from scratch
utilizing HTML, CSS, Javascript, jQuery, Bootstrap, Ajax, and
is mobile-friendly.
